In this role you will lead the vision and strategy for the effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to drive organizational growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our AI capabilities and driving the success of our organization.What you'll doPartner with a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists who are already developing and deploying applications to the highest standards.Design and develop end-to-end AI architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to define AI strategies and roadmaps.Lead the evaluation and selection of AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure optimal performance and scalability.Explore emerging technologies/practices with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to with little or no guidance; incorporate these into architectural solution when appropriate.Present AI strategies, architectures, and results to executive leadership and other stakeholders.Work in an open, collaborative, trusting and thought-provoking environment, one that encourages diversity of thoughtful and creative solutions; one that supports experimentation with a fall forward culture.All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or equivalent experience8 years of application systems development experience5 years architectural and design experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceAdvanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline5 years of technical or team leadership experience2+ years of experience leading AI projects and teams.2+ years' Cloud architecture or development experiences in IBM Public and AzureProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques.Experience with MLOps practices and tools.Airline industry experience and multiple domain knowledge, including Commercial and Operations areas.Skills, Licenses & CertificationsBackground in Enterprise/Solutions Architecture or software engineeringCommand of architecture, design patterns and business processesMastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplinesStrong understanding of software development principles and practices.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI and machine learning.Expertise in working in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative cultureStrong technical leader able to drive to outcomes and mentor delivery teamsProficiency in data modeling, preprocessing, and analysis.What you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
