Senior IT QA Analyst (Remote)

We are seeking a dedicated Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst for a remote contract position with a county government client. The core responsibility of this role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. You will be responsible for assisting with load, stress, and performance testing for critical software applications, gathering and analyzing data to support business cases, and ensuring all software is thoroughly tested to meet performance goals. Please note: This is a fully remote position. Essential Responsibilities: • Review and understand all business, design, and functional requirements. • Gather system requirements to create performance test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios. • Develop and prepare load test scripts and test data. • Set up and manage performance monitoring tools and processes. • Execute bottleneck, baseline, scalability, and breakpoint tests to ensure benchmarks are met. • Evaluate performance measurements and analyze test results. • Work with project team members to diagnose and resolve performance-related issues. • Coordinate to ensure all testing activities and deliverables are completed on time. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience in developing and establishing QA standards and measures. • Extensive background in manual software testing. • Experience with the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). • Familiarity with DevOps tools within a testing environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with basic SQL Server queries.
