Senior Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
As Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and HR compliance. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Talent & Culture to create a positive and productive work environment for both staff and leadership while aligning HR strategies with the organization's objectives.
Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on employee relations issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concernsConduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and disputes in a timely and professional mannerParticipate in full-cycle recruitment efforts for key positions, potentially including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selectionPartner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and create recruitment strategies to attract top talentSupport onboarding processes for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the companySupport the development and implementation of performance management processes, including annual reviewsAs assigned by the Director of Talent and Culture, coach managers and employees on performance feedback, career development, and improvement plansOversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, benefits inquiries, and managing relationships with benefits providersEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Review, update, and communicate company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistencyWork alongside the Director of Talent & Culture to evaluate and develop programs aimed at enhancing employee engagement and productivityOversee employee training initiatives and professional development programsIdentify and recommend training opportunities to improve employee skills, engagement, and organizational performanceCompile HR data and create reports as neededAssist in analyzing trends and metrics to develop proactive solutions to address workforce needsAct as backup for all members of the Talent & Culture TeamPlease note: this job description is not meant to be all-inclusive. Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirementsKnowledge of multi-state employment laws and regulations preferredExperience with PEO (Professional Employers Organization) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plusExcellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex employee situationsExceptional organizational with attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasksAbility to work both independently and as part of a highly capable teamReliable and employee-focused
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a generalist or senior-level roleProfessional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred but not requiredFluency with Google Suite (preferred) or MS Office. Proficiency using Mac OS preferred
Physical Demands
The job frequently requires working at a computer terminal, standing or sitting, and the ability to operate the computer with proficiency.
Work Environment
The work environment is quiet with no adverse conditions.
