Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Substance Devices group. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions to ingest content from over 500 partners and deliver high-quality video to millions of users. You'll work with a range of technologies, including React, Webpack, Django, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and native AWS services like DynamoDB, SQS, Elasticache, and Elasticsearch.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Implementation: Design well-architected solutions and implement them with code that is easy to develop and maintain.
Technical Leadership: Lead technical design and execution of new features, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Project Delivery: Drive project staging and delivery, working closely with your manager and Technical Program Managers.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our systems and workflows, and implement changes to optimize performance and efficiency.
Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
Client-Centric Approach: Adopt a client-driven approach to improve our content management systems, tools, and workflows.
Testing and Validation: Write defensive and robust tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.
Essential Qualifications
Programming Experience: At least 4 years of programming development experience, with proficiency in JavaScript/React and at least one backend language.
Education: Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field of study, as well as equivalent work experience.
Web Development: Experience with modern web styling systems and tools.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Problem-Solving: A passion for solving engineer bottlenecks and the ability to do so in a React/Hub ecosystem.
Computer Science Fundamentals: Knowledge of core CS essentials, data structures, and algorithms.
