About the Role: Senior Financial Accountant As a Senior Financial Accountant at Wayfair, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial data and reporting for the European entities. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local laws and regulations. Process Improvement: Support the strengthening of financial processes and controls to drive business efficiency and effectiveness. Monthly Reconciliations: Prepare monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and legal financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Financial Analysis: Provide accounting and financial analysis to senior management and other stakeholders as needed. Account Identification and Analysis: Identify and analyze material profit and loss accounts to drive business insights and improvement. Continuous Improvement: Bring an analytical mindset to current processes and drive continuous improvement across functional areas. Collaboration and Communication: Participate in local, regional, and global projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes in various jurisdictions where Wayfair operates. Requirements and Qualifications: Experience: Experience in global accounting and reporting requirements, US GAAP, and financial analysis. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software and systems, with experience in data analysis and reporting. Language: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
