Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist at careerzynith, your work will directly influence the direction of the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Applying quantitative analysis and sophisticated data storytelling to uncover what truly drives our business beyond surface-level metrics
Designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end analytics experiments, automated reports, and interactive dashboards using SQL, R, Python, and other scripting or statistical tools
Mentoring junior analysts and fellow data scientists, helping them adopt advanced techniques and develop structured problem-solving skills
Generating clear, data-backed recommendations and validating findings using statistical methods and rigorous hypothesis testing
Partnering with business and product leaders to explain market dynamics, user behavior patterns, and long-term trends
Identifying and quantifying the most impactful levers for moving critical business metrics, then translating those insights into actionable strategy
Working backward from ambiguous, large-scale business problems to ideate, prototype, and deliver solutions
Defining and tracking key performance indicators through executive-facing dashboards that monitor progress against organizational goals
Collaborating closely with engineering teams to implement, document, validate, and monitor data logging and instrumentation
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative discipline
4+ years of professional experience in data analytics, data science, consulting, or a related role
Hands-on experience with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time-series analyses, and regression modeling
Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, ETL processes, and data manipulation at scale
Deep expertise in A/B testing, hypothesis testing, experimentation frameworks, and statistical analysis using tools such as Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB
Proficiency with one or more modern analytics and data visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Chartio
Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous, open-ended business problems and resolve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported manner
