Job description:
We are looking for people who are self-motivated, responsive individuals who are passionate about data. You will work collaboratively with a team of statistical analysts, business analysts and data engineers, throughout the project lifecycle. Data extraction, feature engineering, model design and development and everything in between this is a role that requires hands-on expertise to create value adding solutions that solve real business problems.
Core responsibilities:
 Work closely with the business team to identify key questions and create data-driven solutions to
address them
 Develop and maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analyses
 Partner with the business team(s) to understand the business requirements, understand the impact on existing systems, and design and implement new data provisioning pipeline process for Finance/ External reporting domains
 Statistical Methodology: Knowledge of advanced techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc).
 Natural Language Processing: Knowledge and experience developing end-to-end NLP methodologies for sentiment analysis, text classification, topic modeling
 Data Mining & Machine Learning: Knowledge and experience in advanced data mining & modeling techniques (GLM/Regression, K-Means Clustering, Decision Trees, Random Forest, GNBC, NLP, AI,
Social Network Analysis, etc.), and the ability to articulate their suitability for a given challenge
 Business acumen: Understanding the bigger picture for customers and the business and the know-how to probe beyond stakeholders stated requests to understand what is truly needed to capture and drive business value.
Qualifications:
 B.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations
Research, Engineering or similar quantitative field; Graduate degree in a quantitative field highly preferred.
 2+ years of experience in a data engineering, analytics or data science role
 1+ years of experience in Natural Language processing methodologies
 Strong Python, Spark ML and SQL skills, R, SAS experience or exposure helpful
 Experience with Google Cloud Platform preferred
 Enthusiastic quick learner who loves to code, has a solid mathematical foundation, and wants to expand their data science experience
 Experience using statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems
 Experience in financial services is a plus but not a requirement
