About this position:We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong analytics engineering skills to join our data team. In this role, you will conduct deep business analysis while also building and maintaining the data models and infrastructure that support analytics across the organization. The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise with technical skills in data modeling and transformation, delivering both actionable insights and scalable data products that drive decision-making.What you'll be doing:Translate complex data into business-relevant insights, ensuring that data-driven decisions are aligned with company goalsAnalyze business performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvementBuild and maintain scalable data models using modern data stack tools (dbt, SQL) to support ongoing analysisCreate dashboards and reports that track key metrics and communicate results to stakeholdersCollaborate with business teams across the organization to support strategic initiativesDesign efficient data structures that enable both ad-hoc analysis and automated reportingBusiness Analysis & InsightsConduct deep-dive analyses to understand business performance, user behavior, and market trendsDevelop hypotheses and design analyses to answer key business questionsPresent findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadershipPartner with business teams to define KPIs and success metrics for various initiativesPerform exploratory data analysis to uncover new opportunities and insightsData Modeling & Technical InfrastructureBuild and maintain data models using dbt or similar tools to support scalable analyticsCreate reusable data assets and standardized metrics definitionsImplement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure analysis accuracyWork with data engineering teams to optimize data pipeline performanceDesign data structures that balance analytical flexibility with performanceAnalytics EnablementPartner with analysts and business users to understand reporting and analysis needsCreate self-service analytics capabilities through well-designed data models and documentationProvide training and support to help teams effectively use data assetsBuild automated reporting solutions and standardized metrics definitionsCross-Function CollaborationAct as the technical liaison between data engineering and business teamsPresent data architecture decisions and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholdersWork closely with data engineering to ensure compliance and best practicesSupport ad-hoc analysis and data requests from various business teamsWe are committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career. Our approach to compensation:We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.Salary Range: $ 80,000- $100,000 USDWhere we workWe have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Chicago, IL; and Vancouver, WA.
