This isn't just a "report builder" role. We need a developer who understands the nuances of healthcare data—such as patient attribution, PMPM calculations, and risk adjustment—and can translate those complexities into a scalable, self-service BI environment. Responsibilities: Looker & LookML Architecture Design & Develop: Build and maintain robust, scalable LookML models (Views, Explores, and Models) that serve as the "single source of truth" for the organization. Optimization: Refine LookML code for performance, ensuring dashboards load quickly and BigQuery costs are managed effectively. Governance: Implement version control (Git) and peer-review processes for LookML to ensure data integrity and consistency across all clinical and financial reporting. BigQuery & Data Engineering Collaboration SQL Mastery: Write complex, optimized SQL queries to build persistent derived tables (PDTs) and aggregate tables within BigQuery. Data Modeling: Partner with Data Engineering to influence the design of our data warehouse schema, ensuring it is optimized for downstream BI consumption. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize BigQuery query performance through partitioning, clustering, and efficient join logic. Healthcare Analytics & Dashboarding Product Delivery: Design and deploy sophisticated dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Value-Based Care, such as MSSP performance, utilization rates, and gaps in care. Metric Standardization: Work with the Manager of Analytics to codify complex healthcare definitions into the BI layer, ensuring a "Member" or "Admission" is defined identically across every report. UI/UX Design: Create intuitive data visualizations that allow non-technical clinical and operations leaders to find insights without training. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, specifically within the Healthcare industry (Payor, Provider, or Health Tech).
