Senior Budgeting Analyst

About the position The Senior Budgeting Analyst position at the New York State Insurance Fund involves a range of responsibilities focused on financial reporting and analysis. The role requires the creation and modification of financial reports using Excel, as well as maintenance of the Hyperion administrative application, for which training will be provided. The candidate will also conduct data analysis using Oracle Financials and host quarterly forecast and variance meetings with department heads to review financial performance against budget and forecasts. Requirements • Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title. • One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in budget estimation, justification, and expenditure control functions. Nice-to-haves • 1-2 years of working experience with Hyperion. • Financial planning and analysis background. • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel. • Strong analytical skills.
