What is the role?

The role requires the candidate to manage multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

The following duties must be handled diligently:

Weekly Bookkeeping (mix of accrual and cash basis) for large, more complex clients in various industries

Work with various bookkeeping-related software

Answering more complex bookkeeping-related support questions from clients through Teamwork

Provide in-depth analysis of client files, identify inaccuracies and inconsistencies, notify clients, and resolve issues independently.

Ensuring clients’ books are kept up-to-date and are accurate and organized, meeting deliverable deadlines.

Preparing month-end reports (Balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, etc.)

In-depth review of their clients' month-ends and financial statements (Balance sheet, P&L, aged payables, aged receivables)

Managing multiple clients of varying complexities simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

Identifying bookkeeping process improvement and automation opportunities

Assisting with knowledge sharing with other team members in the department or pod Slack channels

Required Experience

An excellent understanding of accrual bookkeeping, payroll, debits and credits, clearing accounts, bank reconciliations, and more

An excellent understanding of the ins and outs of how an accounting system works: Invoicing, payables, bookkeeping, tax rates, etc.

Prior bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment of at least 8 years

Working knowledge and experience with Xero and QBO

What you bring to the table:

Great communicator. You’re confident, clear, and professional in both writing and conversation. Clients trust you, and teammates love collaborating with you.

Organized & efficient. You can juggle multiple clients and tasks without dropping a beat, and you are familiar with task tracking tools ( i.e. Karbon, Clickup, Monday, Asana, etc.)

Self-starter energy. You’re proactive, motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Tech-savvy. You learn new software quickly and maybe even geek over automations and workflow hacks.

Accounting know-how. Bookkeeping, invoicing, payables, tax rates, and more. Experience with tools like Xero, QBO, Hubdoc, and Dext is a big plus.

You just get it. You’re sharp, dynamic, and ready to become a key player in a fast-growing firm where your ideas make an impact.

Strong internet. At least 6Mbps up/down to keep Zoom running smoothly and work flowing freely.
