Senior BIM Specialist, High-Rise Construction
Our client, a leading architectural and engineering firm recognized for its groundbreaking work in complex urban projects, is seeking an exceptionally skilled Senior BIM Specialist. This vital role, based in the dynamic city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, US , will be instrumental in managing and advancing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across a variety of large-scale construction projects, with a particular focus on high-rise structures.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across all project phases. Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models, ensuring data integrity and clash detection. Lead the creation and management of comprehensive BIM content libraries. Provide technical expertise and training to project teams on BIM software and best practices. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure seamless BIM integration and information exchange. Perform quality control checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Develop and execute BIM execution plans for new projects. Stay current with the latest advancements in BIM technology and its application in the AEC industry. Troubleshoot and resolve BIM-related issues efficiently. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in BIM coordination and management. Proven expertise with industry-standard BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Solibri. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows. Strong understanding of construction processes and interdisciplinary coordination. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and collaborate with diverse teams. Experience with high-rise construction projects is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
