Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Health Care Administration program remotely. The role involves teaching the Healthcare Marketing course, focusing on the examination of the healthcare market and the development of strategic healthcare marketing plans.ResponsibilitiesActively engage students though frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learningGuide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrationsProvide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishmentsDemonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic programProvide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvementsSkillsMaster's degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Health Admin, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning5 years directly relevant, current and active industry experience in Healthcare3 years of experience teaching adult learners online and in higher educationThis position is specifically to teach remotelyTerminal degree preferred in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Health Admin, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learningHold one or more certification such as CPHIMS, CHDA, CHFP, CPA, CPHQ, LSSGB/LSSBB, PMP, FACHE, RHIA/RHIT/CHDA/CHPS/CPHIMS, FACHE/CHFP/CPA, PMP, CISSPBenefitsAccess to health care, medical with vision, dental, and prescription plans for both individuals and families, effective from the 1st of the month following your hire date.
