This initiative will harness machine learning and generative AI to deliver dynamic, user-centric experiences—including intelligent story summarization across evolving news updates, personalized story tracking, and tailored content delivery via web, mobile, and notifications. The system is being developed on a modern, scalable cloud-based architecture to support real-time personalization at a global scale - that's why this Back-End Engineer is a key position to leverage the project.ResponsibilitiesBuild and expose APIs (Summarization, Follow Story, Catch-Up);Integrate with Brightspot CMS (Publishing & Delivery);Implement notification routing rules (OneSignal/Sailthru);Ensure performance, reliability, and error handling.Qualifications and Job RequirementsExperience with Java, especially in extending Brightspot CMS.Proficient in Python, Node.js, or Java for backend development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Familiarity with GCP services: Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL API design.Comfortable working in modern, cloud-native development environments.What We Offer100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from the location that helps you thrive.
