Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of an interdisciplinary cloud engineering team, you will take responsibility within the framework of projects and services in close cooperation with your architecture colleagues and our customers. In this role, you will implement modern AWS technologies and live the cloud-first mindset and implement the Dev(Sec)Ops culture, processes, and tools. Your tasks include:
• You are proficient in using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• You speak Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and live "automate everything" (primarily based on Terraform)
• You are familiar with the portfolio of the cloud provider and know the advantages and disadvantages of the different solutions – IaaS or Paas? SaaS or Marketplace Offering?
• You support in "Shared Service" areas that are essential for every environment – Network (DNS, Firewalling, Loadbalancing), Monitoring & Logging, OS operation (primarily Linux), CI/CD Pipelines, etc.
• You want to develop along the AWS certification path in a team of over 70 experts. First experiences in your tasks are important to us, but experience in all areas is not necessarily required. You are a system engineer or Linux admin and want to start your development as a cloud engineer? In all your tasks, you will always be supported by your team and our principle architects and senior engineers. Let's plan your development plan together with your mentors!
Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role:
In addition to your passion for AWS engineering, you bring an information technology study or a comparable education and have professional experience in implementing IT architectures in conjunction with cloud-based services and platforms. You also bring the following skills:
• Knowledge of the methodologies of the agile approach and the Dev(Sec)Ops culture
• Knowledge of the current AWS service portfolio
• Professional communication skills in German and English
• High level of self-responsibility and proactivity
• Certifications for AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform are advantageous
