Senior Attending Physician (MDs)
**Mercor is seeking senior attending physicians for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs.**
In this role, you will contribute your clinical expertise to a cutting-edge project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Specifically, you will help create high-quality data that will inform the future of AI innovation by developing complex diagnostic reasoning challenges grounded in real-world clinical scenarios.
### You're a good fit if you:
- Are a senior attending physician at a teaching hospital (academic medical center or large tertiary-care institution)
- Specialize in a field with high diagnostic complexity such as Intensive Care Medicine, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Hematology-Oncology, or Neuro-Critical Care
- Routinely manage diagnostically challenging, multi-system cases requiring advanced clinical reasoning and interdisciplinary coordination
- Are actively involved in hands-on patient care through rounds, consult services, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Have strong communication skills and a deep commitment to clinical and scholarly excellence

- The role is ongoing, starting at the end of June/beginning of July and continuing with rolling applications
- The project involves 10–20 hours of work per week with the potential to expand up to 40 hours per week
### Ideal candidates include:
- Associate or full Professors of Medicine who continue active practice at a research/teaching hospital
- Senior attending physicians with 5+ years of post-fellowship experience and a national reputation for diagnostic expertise
- Clinician-scientists who conduct research involving:Clinical trials or translational studiesMulti-omic or imaging-based diagnostic analysisCase series on novel or rare diseases
- Physicians with board certification in a relevant specialty and a record of peer-reviewed publications, guideline authorship, or funded research roles
- Mentors of residents or fellows who are recognized for teaching excellence in clinical reasoning
### Screening Process:
- You will need to complete a short interview and form, which will take a total of 20–30 minutes to fully apply
