Interim Contract Finance Leader

Description:
• SDL has an ongoing need for Interim Finance Executives for our clients.
• All positions require an experienced Finance leader to oversee the Finance function during a period of company transition and advise the executive team on Finance matters.
• The Finance leader may be asked to support and coordinate the organization's finance infrastructure and strategy.
• Responsibilities include establishing policies and procedures, setting up internal control systems/risk systems, supporting urgent issues, managing complex finance workstreams, audit preparation and planning, and leading Finance-related change management efforts.
• The consultant will work closely with the CEO, C-Suite leaders and the Finance staff.
• These contract positions are usually full-time for 3-12 months. Sporadically, part-time positions are available.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; masters a plus
• Minimum 7-10 years of appropriate experience
• Extensive background in roles of progressive scope and responsibility within Finance
• Strategic and innovative team player with strengths in financial controls and the ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues
• Experience engaging with a variety of leaders and stakeholders
• Ability to effectively coordinate with individuals in multiple time zones and cultures
• Adept at facilitating cross-functional collaboration and engagement with leadership across the organization
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills
• Ability to easily package and present information in a consumable manner at the executive level
• Must be a resilient and a 'go-getter', willing to roll-up your sleeves and be hands-on
• Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• Ability to collaborate to build successful relationships
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
