This role will use, build, and develop innovative actuarial modeling concepts to assist strategically on trend, benefit design and pricing support for all Prime’s lines of business (commercial, Medicare and Medicaid). This role will also provide actuarial support in complex projects that are highly visible to senior leadership and across the organization.ResponsibilitiesOwn, build, support, and maintain financial and complex actuarial modelsLead, perform, and review data analyses, reporting, and projectionsLead, perform, and review complex ad hoc pharmacy data mining and analyses to help investigate and answer challenging questions regarding actuarial data and conceptsCollaborate with Underwriters, other areas of Prime, and senior leaders on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the RFP processPresent results and analyses to key stakeholders, senior management, and clientsMentor Actuarial team members to enhance actuarial knowledgeEnsure work is consistent with actuarial standards, as applicableOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance5 years of actuarial work experience to include 3 years in a healthcare organization or PBMActuarial designation (ASA or FSA)Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional QualificationsAdvanced level of proficiency in Excel; intermediate level of proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBAExcellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to balance and follow-up on multiple projects with attention to detailsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsStrong project management and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications5 years of actuarial work experience in a healthcare organization or PBMPrevious experience pricing Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid lines of businesses3 years of experience in SAS, SQL, or VBAPrevious experience in model developmentPrevious experience building and/or improving actuarial models or processesEvery employee must understand, comply with and attest to the security responsibilities and security controls unique to their job, and comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and internal policies and proceduresEvery employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions, absent undue hardship.
