Position:Sr. Accounting ManagerDepartment:Finance and AccountingLocation:Remote (PST Zone Preferred)Reports To:VP, Finance & Accounting, ControllerPosition SummaryThe Senior Accounting Manager will report to and support the Vice President, Finance & Accounting, Controller, in strengthening and scaling the company’s accounting function in preparation for IPO readiness. This individual will manage operational areas, including payroll and clinical trial accruals, while also leading key initiatives such as ERP implementation, audit readiness, and the development of scalable internal controls. The role will collaborate closely with global finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across accounting practices. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to help build the financial infrastructure needed for continued growth.ResponsibilitiesManage clinical trial accruals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of R&D expensesOversee payroll accounting in collaboration with HR and payroll providers, ensuring proper recording and complianceSupport equity-related activities such as cap table maintenance, stock issuances, equity compensation, and related reporting and analysisSupport procure-to-pay operations, including purchase order review, invoice processing, and vendor paymentsLead month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysisPrepare book journal entries across various general ledger accountsDrive the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing, data migration, and process improvementsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across accounting functionsOversee audit preparation, including documentation, reconciliations, and support for external auditorsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred6+ years of accounting experience including at least 2 years in biotech, pharmaceutical, or a related industryStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plusExperience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, public company regulatory frameworks, and audit preparation preferredHighly proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and financial reporting toolsBroad accounting experience across key functions such as payroll, month-end close, and equityStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and global finance teamsBilingual in English and Chinese is a plusAbility to travel to China is a plusSalary Range: $130,000 to $150,000About AngitiaEstablished in June 2018, Angitia Biopharmaceuticals is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics for serious musculoskeletal diseases.
