Senior Accountant, Revenue (Remote)

Aledade is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant for our Revenue Accounting Team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for posting revenue JE for month end close, invoicing and posting, reviewing and reconciling all incoming cash payments from Health Plan Payors. This person will also work across the company on any contractual requirements related to Health Plan Payor Contracts. This role requires an extreme attention to detail and the candidate must have a track record of generating and maintaining systems of record. The ideal candidate for this role is fluent with U.S. GAAP, demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills, is able to work diligently and accurately, and is technologically savvy.We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or be based from Bethesda, MD office. Primary Duties: Prepare month-end reporting workbooks related to revenue and accounts receivable, including related journal entries and reconciliations. Assist with month-end review of financial statements, preparing variance analysis and ensuring accounting activities are well supported and documentedOversee incoming cash to the business. Be able to research unidentified cash payments and provide weekly updates to management. Keep detailed records of invoicing, and aged receivables including bad debt allowance.Oversee the consulting line of business including being the liaison between accounting and project managers such as verifying hours worked, billable expenses and invoices.Assist with external Audit requests as needed including preparation for ongoing support. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of work experience, preferably with experience supporting public companies.1+ years of related experience working in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, hospital, government, management consulting, think tank) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and interfacing with internal or external stakeholdersA bachelors degree in Accounting Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities: Working towards or have a Masters in Accounting and/or a CPAPrior experience of working in a busy accounting teamStrong technical and analytical skills with a deep understanding and expertise with excel and/or google sheetsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross functionality at various levels within a company, as well as with external auditors.Netsuite experience preferredPrior ASC 606 experienceA strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to rapid business changes that accompanies a high growth environment.Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.) Additional Information Who We Are:Aledade, a public benefit corporation, exists to empower the most transformational part of our health care landscape - independent primary care.
