About the jobCanopy is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our quickly growing team!About Canopy:Canopy is a fintech startup building a tech-driven alternative to platforms like AngelList to allow anyone to form their own investment syndicates and funds. (Think Shopify for investment funds!) Our mission is to democratize access to alternative investments by both empowering emerging fund managers to easily share opportunities, as well as enabling individual investors to confidently invest in private assets through a streamlined and transparent investing experience.Since running our first deal in January of 2021, Canopy now supports over $100M in assets under management across 100 portfolio companies, providing access to over 2,000 individual investors. If you want to help us build the foundation of tomorrow's private investment network, we welcome you to apply.About the role: As an early member of the sales team, you will play a key role in the expansion of the Canopy customer base and in the develop of our sales processes. Internally you will work closely with Sales Leadership team to report and analyze sales performance and to form new sales strategies.Externally you will work closely with potential clients and partners, getting them onto and active on the Canopy platform. Canopy has offices in both SF and NY and is open to remote work on a case by case basis from anywhere in the US!You will:Lead customer introduction and demo callsCoordinate handoff to Customer Success & streamline communication with Ops teamDesign and produce sales collateralSupport pipeline & lead-generation workstreams Collaborate with leadership team to create a comprehensive sales strategyCommunicate with Syndicate leads to support edge case quieres and any product related questionsWork cross functionally with Finance, Engineering, product, legal, & many others to optimize internal processes and complete deal executionLearn the venture financing business inside-out, from the ground upYou have: 5+ years of experience in salesExperience working in a fast-paced, self-starter environmentThe ability to think outside the box and take initiativeExceptional ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholdersA deep understanding of customer concerns and ability to troubleshoot as neededStrong leadership and interpersonal skills and thrive in a team settingConfidence to deliver and receive feedback Passion for optimizing existing processes & supporting our growth goalsA desire to learn and build your career with an incredible team!
