About the position

The Security Project Manager plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of security initiatives that protect organizational assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen overall security posture. This position oversees complex, multi‑stakeholder projects within government and insurance environments—both of which demand rigorous adherence to regulatory frameworks, disciplined project execution, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity and risk management principles.
In this role, the Security Project Manager partners closely with technical teams, business leaders, and external vendors to plan, coordinate, and implement security controls, technologies, and remediation efforts. The position requires a strong ability to translate security requirements into actionable project plans, manage competing priorities, and maintain alignment across diverse teams. The Security Project Manager also plays a key role in supporting incident response readiness, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure remain protected against evolving threats.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in regulated environments, excels at stakeholder communication, and brings a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to managing security initiatives from concept to completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 5–7 years of experience in security project management, with demonstrated experience supporting government and/or insurance clients
• Experience working in compliance-driven or highly regulated environments required

Nice-to-haves
• PMP certification
• Professional certifications preferred, such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
