Security Engineer, DevSecOps - United States

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer, DevSecOps in the United States. As a Security Engineer on the DevSecOps team, you will play a pivotal role in protecting cloud infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data across enterprise-grade SaaS platforms. You will design and implement secure software and automation solutions, monitor for threats, and ensure compliance with security best practices. This hands-on role involves collaborating with engineering teams to embed security into development workflows, performing threat modeling, and building tools that proactively mitigate vulnerabilities. You will work in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment, taking ownership of initiatives that safeguard users and systems. Strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication are essential to succeed in this high-impact position. Accountabilities • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure, automation, and software solutions that strengthen security across products and cloud environments. • Implement policy enforcement, compliance reporting, and threat detection tools to support secure development practices. • Perform threat model reviews for product features and cloud architectures, advising engineering teams on secure design. • Integrate and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and other security tools, including data ingestion pipelines. • Support Security Operations during incidents, including forensic analysis, ad-hoc queries, and root-cause investigation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into development and deployment workflows. • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure timely response for critical internal tools and services. • 2–3 years of experience in security engineering with strong software development and architecture skills. • Proficiency in Golang or Python beyond basic scripting. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide teams on secure software design. • Personal attributes: results-driven, self-motivated, high integrity, accountable, creative problem-solver, passionate about security. • Willingness to support on-call duties and security incident response as needed. • Competitive salary: $140,000 – $170,000 annually, including base and potential bonuses. • Fully remote work within the United States with flexibility in schedule. • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, including HSA options with employer contributions. • Employee assistance programs (EAP), short- and long-term disability coverage, and life insurance. • 401(k) retirement plan with company match. • Flexible paid time off policy. • Opportunities to work on challenging security problems in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
