Overview: JOB TITLE: Scrum Master CAYUSE COMPANY: Cayuse Civil Services, LLC DEPT/CONTRACT TX DIR LOCATION Hybrid in Austin, TX SALARY: $106,080-$153,920.00 EMPLOYEE TYPE: Full-Time Salary Exempt TRAVEL No RELOCATION No Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Agile delivery across high-performing, cross-functional teams and ensuring the consistent application of Scrum principles and practices. This role is central to supporting the delivery of enterprise data, analytics, and modernization initiatives by fostering collaboration, promoting transparency, and driving continuous improvement within the team environment. Responsibilities: Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Enable cross-functional teams to achieve high performance through continuous improvement and adherence to Agile and Scrum methodologies. Act as a servant leader, coaching team members and stakeholders to ensure optimal self-organization, accountability, and delivery. Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team delivery, supporting a seamless workflow. Promote collaboration and transparency among product owners, development teams, and stakeholders. Ensure Scrum principles and best practices are consistently applied across teams. Support reporting on velocity, sprint metrics, and delivery progress using Agile lifecycle management tools. Align team objectives and delivery with program and organizational goals. Foster an environment of continuous learning and adaptation. Other duties as assigned . Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client. 8 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile teams delivering technology or data platforms. 8 years of experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. 8 years of proven ability to identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team delivery. 8 years of experience coaching teams on self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement. 8 years of experience using Agile lifecycle management tools (such as Jira). 8 years of ability to support reporting on velocity, sprint metrics, and delivery progress. 8 years of experience working in enterprise or large-scale IT initiatives Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail. Ability to analyze systems and procedures Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort. Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Desired Qualifications: 4 years of experience working on state or government technology projects. Scrum Master certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent. Must reside in the Austin area. Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time. Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen. May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays. May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes. May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours. Travel costs, per diem, and other related expenses must be pre-approved in compliance with State of Texas travel guidelines.
