As a Data Engineer at careerzynith, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines. **Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using a combination of local AWS services and Amazon internal tools and technologies
* Collaborate with business partners to understand their requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs
* Build and maintain professional, flexible, and security-compliant data pipelines to support our business partners
* Work closely with our data engineering team to design and develop new data pipelines and improve existing ones
* Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams
* Develop and maintain systems or tools for internal group and external partner use to manage data
* Stay up-to-date with new technologies and business needs, and adapt our data infrastructure accordingly

* Gathering and discussing requirements from business partners across various verticals, such as memberships, sales, reverse logistics, finance, and more
* Building new data ingestions using a combination of local AWS services or Amazon internal tools
* Maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements
* Developing and maintaining systems or tools for internal group and external partner use to manage data
* Performing code reviews and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams
**About the Team**
Our Data Engineering team is responsible for managing the centralized data warehouse for careerzynith. We collect and distribute data from various internal and external sources, which are used by different partners, such as careerzynith item design, finance, inventory management, marketing, customer support, and sales data.
**Essential Capabilities**
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data design, development, and maintenance
* Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL pipeline development
* Strong understanding of SQL and data querying languages
* Experience with AWS technologies, such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
**Preferred Capabilities**
* Experience with current programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
* Experience with non-relational databases or data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases)
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
