I run a YouTube channel producing documentary-style videos about deep-sea incidents, ocean creatures, and underwater mysteries. I need a sharp editor/proofreader to polish scripts before they go to our voice artist.
What the work looks like:
I develop scripts using AI tools and my own research. By the time they reach you, the structure, facts, and story arc are locked in. Your job is to go through each script line by line and make sure everything reads clean, flows naturally for spoken narration, and is free of errors. This includes rewording clunky phrasing, tightening sentences, catching inconsistencies, and flagging anything that sounds off when read aloud.
You are NOT writing scripts from scratch or doing research. You're the final editorial pass that makes a good script ready to record.
What I'm looking for:
• Strong command of English grammar and style
• An ear for how words sound spoken aloud, not just how they read on a page
• Ability to tighten writing without changing the meaning or tone
• Attention to detail — catching repeated words, awkward transitions, factual inconsistencies
• Reliability and consistent availability
Details:
• Volume: 2–4 scripts per week
• Script length: Typically 1,800–2,800 words
• Pay: $10 per script
• Ongoing role for the right person
