SAP BASIS & Security Consultant
Job Title: SAP BASIS & Security Consultant Location: Remote Experience: 10+ Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS & Security Consultant to support SAP systems hosted on Azure. The consultant will be responsible for SAP system administration, security design, compliance, and migration support, ensuring stable, secure, and compliant SAP operations. Key Responsibilities: SAP Security & Authorizations • Design and implement SAP security roles and authorization concepts for Azure-hosted SAP systems. • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOX, GDPR, and BFSI. • Perform user provisioning, role testing, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) checks. • Configure and manage secure communication protocols (SSL/TLS) and data encryption. • Monitor and audit system access logs; identify and remediate security violations. • Collaborate with SAP BASIS and Azure teams on identity and access management. • Support SAP GRC integration and risk analysis for migrated environments. • Provide security sign-off during cutover and post–go-live phases. SAP BASIS Administration • Perform SAP system administration activities including client copies, transports, and system monitoring. • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshoot application server issues. • Support SAP migration activities, including export/import, SUM/DMO execution, and validation. • Configure RFCs, logical systems, and post-migration integration points. • Execute regular system health checks and automate routine BASIS tasks. • Coordinate with Azure infrastructure teams for connectivity and resource provisioning. • Implement and monitor backup and recovery procedures. • Manage background jobs and job scheduling. • Document technical procedures and provide operational handover. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS and SAP Security. • Strong expertise in SAP Security & Authorizations. • Experience with SAP BASIS on HANA environments. • Exposure to SAP systems hosted on Microsoft Azure. • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, BFSI). • Experience with SAP migration tools and methodologies. • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
