Salesforce Developer (Healthcare & Data Cloud)

Important Information: • Years of Experience: 5–9 years • Job Mode: Full-time • Work Mode: Remote Job Summary: The Salesforce Developer will design, build, and optimize solutions across Salesforce Core, Healthcare and Life Sciences Cloud, and Data Cloud for a United States–based online pharmacy. This role collaborates closely with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that support prescription intake, benefits verification, refills, patient outreach, and contact center operations. The developer applies a configuration-first mindset and strong critical reasoning to determine the most effective balance between declarative tools and custom development. Responsibilities and Duties: • Implement business functionality using Salesforce declarative tools such as Flows, validation rules, page layouts, permission sets, and OmniScripts where appropriate. • Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable Apex classes, triggers, and batch processes when custom logic is required. • Build Lightning Web Components and console customizations to support pharmacy operations and patient support workflows. • Configure and support Salesforce Data Cloud data streams, data model objects, and calculated insights for patient 360 views and segmentation. • Implement Data Cloud activation patterns that drive actionable automation, queues, and outreach processes within Salesforce. • Contribute to the design and implementation of integrations with external systems using REST APIs, platform events, and middleware solutions. • Ensure all solutions are bulk-safe, performant, secure, and aligned with Salesforce coding standards and best practices. • Support testing and validation efforts by providing technical guidance on test coverage, traceability, and root cause analysis of defects. Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Minimum of four years of hands-on Salesforce development experience using Apex, Lightning, and declarative tools. • Proven experience working with complex Salesforce data models, integrations, and performance optimization. • Familiarity with regulated environments such as healthcare or pharmacy, including concepts related to PHI handling. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate multiple implementation approaches and clearly communicate tradeoffs. • High attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to deliver maintainable, testable, and well-documented solutions. Role-specific Requirements: • Experience designing and implementing solutions within Healthcare and Life Sciences Cloud environments. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a highly regulated domain. • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance best practices within Salesforce.
