Sales Coordinator, Group Retirement Services (West Region)

The Sales Coordinator will support the business development area through sales and client relationship activities, ensuring consistency in communication and processes. Responsibilities Support day-to-day sales and client retention administration tasks and ensuring the delivery of work as assigned through work-back schedules, detailed work plans and project schedules Prepare standard proposals and shortlist presentations that accurately represent our brand, plain language style and business imperatives clearly balanced with the needs and objectives of the client Handle simple requests for information associated with sales and retention-related projects independently; both for existing clients and new business opportunities Monitor central team inbox for Salesforce notifications, enter opportunities into project management tool and triage requests to the right lead, or escalations to the senior management Prepare, print, and collate custom and template PowerPoint presentations for sales opportunities (new and in force) Provide support for sales and client initiatives. Research standard proposal responses in the proposal database, and develop standard PowerPoint presentations in support of sales efforts Provide in-person onsite support for in office sales and client events and meetings, including in-person finalist presentation prep Process Plan Sponsor Services password resets Purchase coordinator and office support to Shared Services and regional offices, processing invoices and purchase orders Travel and expense support for sales staff and senior leaders when required Participate in external and internal meeting planning and assist the Shared Services team in associated production activities (room booking, food/beverage order, meeting room set up) Provide assistance to clients, advisors and consultants by responding to general inquiries when RDBDs are not available (triage and send the request to the assigned back up) Complete presentation formatting requests for strategic client presentations, including printing and collating materials as required Skills Group pensions knowledge – basic to intermediate Group Retirement Services (GRS) product/ service knowledge Proofreading – ability to proofread, including all French translations Copy editing – demonstrated creativity and solid understanding of plain language principles to create engaging copy that influences audiences Organizational and problem-solving skills – highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deliver against required timelines and troubleshoot solutions when faced with a challenge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), with superb attention to detail Creative thinker – Ability to understand business needs, often acting quickly and efficiently using strong project and time management skills Adaptability – ability to embrace change and adapt to evolving business priorities Independence and collaboration – ability to work independently and collaboratively within a strong agile team environment Business curiosity – comfort seeking new approaches to solving business problems and challenging the status quo Confidence and strong decision-making skills – ability to confidently share and receive ideas and be an influential team member Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint) Willingness to work flexible hours, when necessary, to support sales opportunities in Vancouver (PT), Calgary (MT), Winnipeg (CT), Ontario and Quebec (ET) time zones, and work overtime, as needed Experience with collaboration tools, content management systems, Salesforce and Adobe Pro is an asset Bilingual-English/French is a strong asset Benefits Ongoing learning, training, and coaching as you grow your career A friendly, collaborative, and interactive team environment Company Overview Sun Life is a leading financial services organization dedicated to helping people achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.
