The Regional Sales Manager will focus on business development within the Water Treatment division, growing the customer base and providing support and training to ensure customer success in addressing water challenges.ResponsibilitiesWork with the National Sales Channel Manager to understand initiatives and develop a plan of action that supports the goals of the territoryDevelop a strong understanding of Water-Right, Master Water Conditioning and AO Pro products and applicationsCall on users and prospective users of water treatment products to influence the purchases of A. O. Smith Water Treatment’s equipment and servicesSupport existing customers and attract new prospects with on-site technical and resource trainingsAttend and support industry and customer events in your assigned regionMeet sales and expense objectives outlined in the annual budgetAssist with properly applying and trouble-shooting water treatment solutions and provide in-field support when neededTake part in monthly reviews and planning sessions to gauge progress, overcome challenges and review opportunitiesFollow up on leads, inquiries, and customer issues in a timely mannerSkills3 years of residential water treatment related experience desiredWQA Certification is a plusTravel 75% of the timePrior work experience for a water-related or water-adjacent business or industry is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and ZoomTechnical aptitude and strong business acumenComfortable and willing to speak on camera (Zoom, Teams) and to live groupsValid driver's license and own a vehicle capable of supporting travel efforts throughout territoryAbility to plan, meet timelines, handle multiple tasks and work collaborativelyGoal oriented with proven success in exceeding targetsProven ability to manage time and workload from a remote/home based officeBachelor's DegreeBenefitsMedical and dental insuranceCompany-sponsored life insuranceRetirement security savings planShort- and long-term disability programsTuition assistanceCompany OverviewCelebrating its 150th year of business, A.
