Residential HVAC Technical Trainer

This job requires travel 50% of the time in the U.S. and Canada.
It can be located in Indiana or the Southeast U.S.
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Training, the responsibilities of the Trainer include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct residential HVAC technical training. Prepare for training class. Instruct training classes. Assist with hands-on lab sessions. Administer tests. Maintain class records and databases.
Assist in creating new training class curriculum and materials. Review all training manuals and ensure that printed materials are updated. Review all training PowerPoint slides and identify and correct shortcomings. Update all training parts kits and materials as necessary.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). College coursework or AS / BS degree in related field preferred.
Experience Requirements: Five or more (5+) years of ground source heat pump service and installation experience required.
Other Requirements: Previous instructor experience preferred. High level of competency with Microsoft PowerPoint for in-person and online training. Experience with Microsoft Teams and/or other online training instruction.
In addition to the above education and experience requirements, qualified candidates will possess a demonstrated track record of results with the following abilities:
A detail-oriented self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Excellent listener with professional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. – 50 lbs.
Ability to teach/instruct adults in an enthusiastic and engaging manner.
Clear motor vehicle record.
