Replenishment Analyst

They are seeking a Replenishment Analyst responsible for ensuring stores maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste through data analysis and effective communication with stores and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesPrepare purchase orders and liaise with stores ensuring department objectives including service level, waste reduction and product quality are metPractices “just in time” inventory to maximize freshness and minimize shrink and wasteRegularly liaise with stores to ensure review of merchandising plans, inventory levels, and product qualityMaintain ordering criteria such as consumption, MRP and forecasting profiles in SAPAnalyze data from SAP, BW and BI systems to maximize sales, inventory turns and gross marginPeriodically meet with merchandising team ensuring appropriate responses to changing market conditions and promotional plans are executed appropriatelyKeep informed with regards to supply market conditions, market opportunities and competitor activitiesEnsures that every store requirement is fulfilled daily with the freshest and highest quality product being procuredIdentifies potential overstock situations proactivelyEnsuring every effort is made to ship product to stores with regular vendor communication, including contingency deliveries if necessaryWorks with Inventory Managers to continually improve the logistics process to reduce distribution costs and/or inventory levelsSkillsPost Secondary education in Supply Chain, Retail Management, Business or industry experience and knowledge1–3 years previous replenishment work, preferably in grocery retailKnowledge of perishable food products replenishmentStrong analytical skills and attention to detailStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutionsKnowledge in inventory and supply chain conceptsSuperior time management, priority management and organizational skillsExcellent skills in Excel, Word, and OutlookFlexibility to adapt to changing customer demands, schedules, and working under the challenge of tight timelinesAbility to work independently and within a teamSelf-motivated with the ability to possess a great sense of urgencyKnowledge of SAP – Replenishment module and BW is a definite assetCompany OverviewWith annual sales of more than $21 billion, METRO Inc.
