Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMAC, or CCMA certification with at least three years of field experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
• At least one year of experience teaching online, synchronous courses.
• Experience with Canvas and Zoom.
• Curriculum development experience is preferred.
• Proven track record in managing and aligning educational programs to meet rigorous accreditation standards.
• Experience with accreditation bodies such as the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision of specific programs.
• Participation in curriculum development and textbook reviews.
• Academic advising and scheduling assistance for students.
• Faculty observation and evaluation.
• Coordination with the Externship Coordinator.
• Chairing the Curriculum Committee and Advisory Board for assigned programs.
• Incorporation of external resources such as guest speakers and simulations into courses.
• Utilizing various technologies, including Canvas and synchronous video delivery tools.
• Participating in institutional accreditation activities.
• Managing programmatic accreditation activities.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Hold live, synchronous class sessions with students at least every other week for the duration of the 10-week term.
• Conduct up to 2 hours of additional live lecture each week for classes with lab components.
• Oversee the growth and development of allied health sciences programs.
• Report directly to the Chief Academic Officer.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to program effectiveness, including administration, continuous review, planning, and development.
• Engage in institutional compliance and driving programmatic excellence.

Position Overview: As a Dean or Program Chair, you will play a significant role in curriculum development, faculty supervision, academic advising, and ensuring program effectiveness. Your responsibilities will extend to the incorporation of external resources, managing accreditation activities, and utilizing various technologies to enhance educational delivery.

This is a salaried, exempt position that qualifies for all benefits offered by the University. The Dean/Program Chair has the ability to teach up to three (3) courses per term and to receive additional pay for all classes taught.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
