As the VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for building strategic relationships with financial advisors and distribution partners, driving platform awareness and adoption through various networking and consultative engagements.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strategic relationships with field distribution teams, home office leadership, and key decision-makers at partner firms through proactive outreach, consultative conversations, and regular touchpointsNetwork extensively across the financial services landscape to identify new distribution opportunities and deepen existing partnerships with RIAs and wealth management platformsPartner closely with Vestmark's sales and client success teams to align on go-to-market strategies, ensuring distribution partners are equipped with the resources and knowledge needed to promote Vestmark's solutionsDeliver compelling presentations of Vestmark's value proposition to field distribution audiences, showcasing how our technology platform solves critical operational and investment management challengesCoordinate and participate in field events, regional conferences, and partner meetings to strengthen visibility and relationships within distribution networksServe as the voice of distribution partners internally at Vestmark, providing feedback to Product, Technology, Marketing and Leadership teams to inform roadmap priorities and enhance partner experienceDrive lead generation and opportunity identification by maintaining strong communication channels with distribution teams and tracking emerging needs within their advisor networksLeverage Vestmark's thought leadership and market insights to educate distribution partners on industry trends, regulatory changes, and the evolving wealth management landscapeSkillsBachelor's degree required or relevant experienceProven track record in relationship management and networking within financial services, particularly with distribution teams, wholesalers, or field organizationsPassion for financial technology and understanding of wealth management platforms, investment management, and operational efficiency solutionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust across diverse stakeholder groupsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and with external partners in a matrixed environmentSelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results independentlyDeep understanding of the financial advisory landscape, including broker-dealer and RIA distribution modelsWillingness to travel regularly to meet with distribution partners and attend industry events5-7 years of experience in financial services, preferably in business development, distribution, wholesaling, or relationship management rolesEstablished network within wealth management distribution channelsExperience working with wealth management technology platforms or fintech solutionsExpertise in utilizing CRM systems such as Salesforce to manage pipeline, track activities, and report on business development metricsSeries 65 license preferredBenefitsEquity-based grants for all new hiresCompany-paid medical premiums of 90%A competitive time-off programOther variable compensation, if eligibleCompany OverviewVestmark provides support to their users so that they can focus on the important work of helping investors reach their financial goals.
