[Remote] Virtual CFO Senior Accountant

This role involves transitioning clients to cloud-based accounting platforms and managing day-to-day accounting transactions for various clients across multiple industries.ResponsibilitiesAssist in transitioning clients to cloud-based platformsHandle the day-to-day accounting transactions for complex clients; including bill pay, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll preparationComplete monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare monthly journal entries and closing of general ledgerMaintain fixed asset schedules and the chart of accountsProvide timely, accurate and complete reports on the financial condition of the firm’s clients, including analysis of resultsMaintain an orderly accounting system and a system of controls over accounting transactionsOffer financial advice and solutions to help clients succeedBe a key part of a team that is continually evolving in policy, procedures, technology advancement and delivering exceptional client experiencePrepare client sales tax returns, year-end 1099 returns and property tax declarationsServe as a first-line representative of the firm with clients, vendors, business partners and other Anders service lines and nichesContinually work towards ensuring compliance while meeting client goalsComply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirementsDesign and improve reconciliation and accounting processes by diagnosing root causes of variances, strengthening workflows and controls, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting2-4 years of related experienceCPA or working towards CPAProficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAdvanced QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online experienceProficient with MS Excel, Word & OutlookFamiliarity with cloud-based software applicationsExperience with other general ledger packages a plusBenefitsBonus program that will be discussed during an initial interviewProfessional development opportunitiesBenefits that directly impact mental, physical and financial wellnessWork Flex program which gives you the opportunity to work at our Chesterfield office, our Downtown St. Louis office, remotely, adopt a hybrid approach or even switch between these options as you preferCompany OverviewA dedicated team of CPAs and industry-focused advisors.
