[Remote] UKG Activities System Consultant - Contract (Remote - US, Canada)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Align HCM is seeking an experienced UKG Activities System Consultant to join their UKG practice on a contract basis. In this role, you will lead the implementation of the UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Activities module for clients, guiding them from requirements gathering through go-live and configuring the solution to enhance productivity and labor reconciliation.ResponsibilitiesLead clients through end-to-end implementation of the UKG Pro WFM Activities module, covering the full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, data conversion, go-live, and post-production supportConfigure the Activities solution to automate and reconcile paid time to labor, including activity profiles, task and operation definitions, labor transfer rules, productivity benchmarks, and activity-based costing calculationsFacilitate discovery workshops and working sessions to elicit client requirements for activity tracking, labor allocation, job costing, and productivity measurement, translating business needs into actionable system design decisionsDesign and document integration data flows between UKG Pro WFM Activities and third-party systems, including ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), MES systems, payroll engines, and time collection devices, collaborating with integration teams to ensure accurate and timely data exchangeConfigure time collection and device settings to support Activities data capture, including clocks, mobile, and desktop entry points, ensuring accurate tracking of employee activity assignments across shifts and work ordersCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional design specifications, data mapping documents, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and end-user training materialsLead system configuration, unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support client user acceptance testing (UAT), proactively identifying and resolving defects and configuration gapsManage testing and acceptance of delivered solutions, partnering with technical teams to validate that outputs meet client requirementsDeliver best-practice guidance on Activities module configuration and workflow design, advising clients on productivity standards, labor reconciliation approaches, exception management, and manager dashboard designBuild trusted, collaborative relationships with client project teams, business stakeholders, and operations leadersCollaborate with Align HCM internal teams, including Timekeeping, Scheduling, and Integration consultants, to ensure holistic WFM solution design and cohesive go-live readiness across all in-scope modulesSkillsMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing UKG Pro WFM ActivitiesProven ability to configure Activities profiles, task and operation definitions, productivity standards, labor allocation rules, and activity-based costing calculations within UKG Pro WFMExperience implementing Activities in environments with complex operational requirements, such as manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or healthcare, where job costing and real-time labor-to-work-order reconciliation are in scopeSolid understanding of the broader UKG Pro WFM platform, including Timekeeping, pay rules, time collection devices, and how Activities interacts with adjacent modules and downstream payroll systemsExperience with data mapping from source systems to UKG Pro WFM, including familiarity with integration touchpoints between Activities and ERP, MES, or payroll platformsDemonstrated ability to facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, document functional designs, and translate client business processes into system configuration decisionsStrong English language communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical configurations and design options clearly to client operations and IT stakeholdersUKG Pro WFM certification is a strong assetAbility and willingness to travel to client sites as neededKnowledge of manufacturing or distribution operations, including work order management, production reporting, and shop floor data capture workflowsExperience with UKG Analytics or reporting tools for building Activities-related productivity and labor cost dashboardsProficiency with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting during implementation and testing phasesCompany OverviewAlign HCM is a team of human capital management experts who are passionate about making our customer's lives easier.
