The role involves ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability through structured testing and validation processes, while collaborating with technical and business teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca to validate data pipelines and ETL workflows, ensuring coverage across integration, regression, and smoke testing scenariosBuild and maintain reusable test components, modules, and libraries within the Tosca framework to support scalable and repeatable testing effortsExecute automated and manual test scenarios to validate data accuracy across source and target systems, including structured validation of transformations and business rulesWrite and execute complex SQL queries to verify data completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple databases and environmentsPerform detailed validation of ETL processes, including testing aggregations, joins, and transformations within enterprise data workflowsValidate data loads into data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting systems to ensure alignment with expected outputs and business requirementsConduct data reconciliation activities across systems to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency between upstream and downstream data sourcesSupport testing for data migration initiatives, ensuring no data loss and confirming accuracy of migrated datasetsCollaborate with business analysts and data engineers to understand data requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure proper test coverageParticipate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability, data dependencies, and potential risks within data workflowsDevelop and maintain test plans, test strategies, and execution schedules aligned with project timelines and deliverablesLog, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM, including detailed documentation with reproduction steps and SQL validation evidenceParticipate in defect triage sessions, working with development teams to identify root causes and validate fixesGenerate test reports, dashboards, and metrics to communicate testing progress and data quality outcomes to stakeholdersSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users and ensuring alignment between technical validation and business expectationsMaintain version control of test assets using tools such as Git or SVN, ensuring proper governance and traceability of testing artifactsIntegrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and automated validation within deployment workflowsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field3–5 years of QA/testing experience with at least 2 years using Tricentis ToscaProven experience in data testing, ETL validation, or data warehouse testingHands-on experience testing data integration projectsProficiency in Tosca Commander, Tosca Executor, and test case designExperience with Tosca modules including TBox, XScan, API testing, and database testingStrong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries for data validation (joins, aggregations, CTEs, stored procedures)Experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL, or MySQLUnderstanding of ETL concepts and data warehouse architectures including star schema & dimensional modelingKnowledge of data profiling and data comparison techniquesFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git or SVNStrong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLCExperience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, qTest, or HP ALMExperience working within Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience with API testing including REST and SOAPUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integrationTosca Certification (Automation Specialist Level 1 or Automation Specialist Level 2)Experience with Tosca Data Integrity (TDI) moduleExperience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or TalendFamiliarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQueryExperience with performance testing for data loadsPython or scripting experience for automationExposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or HiveISTQB or similar testing certificationIndustry experience within healthcare, finance, or retailBenefitsBenefits available (•optional•) [Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) match]Company OverviewCEI is an AI engineering and transformation partner that designs, builds, and operationalizes production grade AI across enterprise systems.
