Responsibilities • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans. • Provide clinical leadership and oversee unit activities. • Prescribe medications (when applicable) and monitor patient progress. • Deliver crisis intervention and respond effectively to urgent situations. • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and provide reports to the court. Qualifications • An MD or DO degree from an accredited college or university. • Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program. • One year of clinical psychiatry experience. • A license to practice in the state of employment. • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry (must obtain certification within six months of hire). • DEA registration. Education Requirements • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution. • Completion of psychiatry residency. Education Requirements Credential Category • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) Experience Requirements • One year of clinical psychiatry experience.
