[Remote] Revenue Accounting Analyst – Contracts & Billing

The Revenue Accounting Analyst will support billing execution, contract setup, and revenue processes, ensuring accurate invoicing and compliance within a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Contracts and Sales to validate contract setup and amendmentsReview subscription, usage-based, and services billing activity for completeness and accuracySupport end-to-end billing processes across entities, products, and customer contractsEnsure billing accurately reflects contract terms, pricing, service periods, and billing schedulesSupport credit memo, rebill, and billing adjustment processes in coordination with Billing teamsPerform monthly reconciliations between billing and revenue subledgers and the general ledger, identifying and resolving variancesValidate alignment between contract terms, pricing, quantities, service periods, invoices and revenue schedulesInvestigate discrepancies between billing, deferred revenue and recognized revenue in partnership with Order Management, Sales, and Commercial teamsSupport accurate setup and maintenance of Controllership revenue recognition models and contract data within the financial systemsAssist in month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting deliverablesMaintain alignment between CRM, billing systems, and ERP financial dataProvide reporting, analytics, and variance explanations to Finance and business stakeholdersSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue accountingEnsure timely completion of revenue recognition, deferred revenue and Unbilled AR deliverables in accordance with close calendarsExecute revenue accounting activities in compliance with SOX controls and internal Controllership policiesSupport internal and external audits by providing reconciliations, documentation, and explanations related to revenue balances and activityIdentify issues, risks, or control gaps and escalate appropriately with proposed mitigation actionsIdentify opportunities to improve billing‑to‑revenue workflows, reduce manual effort, accelerate close activities and improve data qualityPartner with Financial Systems IT teams on system requirements, enhancements, testing, reporting needs and process changesDevelop and maintain standard work, reconciliation templates, and process documentationSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field4+ years of experience in billing, order‑to‑cash, and revenue operations management, or related accounting roles, preferably in a software / SaaS environmentFamiliarity with subscription and usage-based billing modelsStrong working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, SOX and GAAPExperience with ERP and billing systems (NetSuite ARM / Advanced Billing / Oracle or similar preferred)Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) a plusStrong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a close‑driven environmentEffective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionallyBenefitsPerformance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI)Medical, dental, visionPaid time offA 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunitiesLife, disability, and accident insuranceTuition reimbursementCompany OverviewEvery day millions of people feel the impact of our intelligent devices, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.
