The Technical Project Manager (TPM) 4 is responsible for managing technical project scope, overseeing deliverables, budgets, and schedules, and ensuring compliance with NNSA requirements while providing guidance to project teams.ResponsibilitiesManaging and ensuring timely completion of discrete technical project scopeManaging technical requirements; defining and overseeing project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risksSupporting or leading the project team in planning, tracking, and executing scope from initiation through turnoverManaging project-related activities in alignment with the prime contract and customer NNSA requirementsOrganizing activities into control accounts and subsequent work packages, which define tasks necessary to satisfy programmatic needsReporting to the Project Program Director and responsible for day-to-day administrative and operational management within an assigned program areaDeveloping, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and standardsDetermining program service levels and enhancementsAssisting in the development and monitoring of program budgetsProviding technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resourcesSkillsBachelor's degree plus a minimum of twelve years of related DOE nuclear experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior nuclear experience managing project activities within a DOE, NRC, or NNSA Hazard Category 2 type facilityDemonstrated ability to manage technical requirements, project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risksExperience leading or supporting project teams in planning, tracking, and executing scope from initiation through turnoverAbility to develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards within an assigned program areaExperience assisting in the development and monitoring of program budgets and providing technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resourcesAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance (can be obtained after hire) and A-Level AccessAbility to work a 4-10 schedule, adjusted as needed to align with field installation work schedules, including on-call and overtime as requiredPrevious Department of Energy (DOE) or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) experience managing Decontamination & Decommissioning (D&D), construction, testing, and turnover in a nuclear environmentExperience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), including serving as a Control Account Manager or equivalent; EVMS Humphreys & Associates certification and Control Account Manager certification (or equal) preferredExperience working under DOE O 413.3B requirements for capital line-item funded projects, particularly with Critical Decisions (CDs) and associated review processes such as the Technical Independent Project Review (TIPR), Independent Cost Estimate (ICE), External Independent Review (EIR), and Annual Project Review (APR)Experience in work control, hazard management, radiological or operational activities, and quality assurance within a nuclear environmentExperience resolving complex technical and regulatory issues such as Commercial Grade Dedication and Issues Management within an NQA-1 programBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) planPaid time offCompany OverviewHukariAscendent is an oil & energy company offering nuclear safety and licensing services.
