[Remote] Mid-Level Backend Developer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lean Tech is seeking a Mid-Level Golang Developer to join their core infrastructure team. The role focuses on backend development, requiring the design of scalable microservices and optimization of data pipelines, along with ownership of features from design to deployment. Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain high-throughput microservices using Golang • Implement robust APIs using REST or gRPC (Protobuf) for internal service communication • Utilize Go’s concurrency model (Goroutines and Channels) to handle high traffic and background processing efficiently • Write optimized SQL queries (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and manage data consistency • Instrument services with logging, metrics, and tracing (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus) to ensure observability • Work with Docker and Kubernetes to package and deploy your services Skills • 3+ years of backend development experience, with at least 1.5+ years writing production Go • You understand the 'Go way' of doing things—preferring simplicity over magic • You are comfortable with interfaces, structs, and explicit error handling • Strong understanding of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, and how APIs function under the hood • Proficiency in relational database design and raw SQL • A strong belief in testing • You are familiar with Go's built-in testing package and table-driven test patterns • Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ • Familiarity with gRPC and Protocol Buffers • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB) • Contributions to Open Source Go projects Company Overview • : About Us: As the technology division of Lean Solutions Group, we're on a mission to help you achieve all your technology initiatives.
