[Remote] Technical Analyst

The Technical Analyst will be responsible for identifying strengths and weaknesses of solutions, defining requirements, and bridging the gap between technical systems and business processes while mentoring junior analysts.ResponsibilitiesOrganize all business requests to better understand overall demand and enable better prioritization and strategic alignmentProvide stakeholder visibility to help stakeholders track, manage, and forecast incoming business requestsSupport the optimization of the intake process by collecting, organizing, scoring, and prioritizing business requests based on value to the enterprise and alignment to project backlog and roadmapReview new business requests and convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every Release and SprintCommunicate goals and expectations to teams during Sprint Planning meetingsBuild, edit and maintain the product backlog in Jira and reprioritize as necessaryContribute to release documentation, communications and technical release notesDrafting User Stories and EPICs with accompanying technical details and specificationsAnalysis of code for existing services to reverse engineer requirements to be validated with the business customersDevelop Data Models to support the description, analysis and visualization of business domainsAnalyze business requirements to define technical specifications and collaborate with the Business Team to clarify and further elaborate requirementsObtain approved requirements from the Product Owner and Business Analysts and collaborate with the technical team to provide level of detail needed for implementationReview of proposed solution to be developed to ensure it implements the business requirementsTranslate Technical Requirements into testable scenariosReview defects to identify requirements defects and/or clarification needed to requirementsSkillsAt least 6 years of experience supporting IT business systems in a consulting environmentExperience working with data intensive platforms and experience reading code to understand business logicEnjoy making sense of complex or ambiguous situations – you can take diverse opinions, competing priorities, and development of a consensus for a course of actionExperience with facilitation and able to build consensusEnjoy taking complex technical issues and explaining them in a way a non-technical audience can understandAre an excellent communicator – across all mediumsYou are a problem-solver with solid critical thinking skillsExperience working with a variety of stakeholders in a collaborative environment to support multiple lines of businessKnowledge of formal project methodologies: agile, waterfall, and/or hybrid methodsExperience working as part of a software development team or scrum teamFamiliar with the software development lifecycleExperience using data analysis to inform recommendations and ensure successful outcomesBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) Savings PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanProfessional Development ProgramPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysPaid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required)Company OverviewRGP (Nasdaq: RGP) is an award-winning global professional services firm with three decades of experience helping the world’s top organizations navigate change and seize opportunity.
