Remote Tax Preparer Contractor (Clients & Software not included)

If you are self-motivated, willing to learn, and ready to build a career in tax preparation, we encourage you to apply. • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and small business clients with accuracy and attention to detail • Analyze client financial documents, including income statements, expense reports, and receipts, to ensure completeness and correctness • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial tools to organize data and facilitate efficient tax preparation • Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and software updates to provide compliant advice and services • Communicate clearly with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions effectively • Maintain confidentiality of client information while managing multiple cases simultaneously • Assist in identifying potential deductions and credits to optimize client refunds or minimize liabilities • Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a strong understanding of tax concepts and regulations • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms used for bookkeeping and financial analysis • Demonstrated knowledge of financial sales techniques and marketing strategies to attract new clients or expand existing relationships • Strong analysis skills combined with math proficiency for accurate calculations and data interpretation • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and professionally • Experience working remotely with self-motivation and excellent time management skills • Basic proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry and document processing Job Type: Seasonal Pay: $55,321.54 per year Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
