*This is with a Public Accounting Firm and requires Public Accounting experience as well as an active CPA license* Job Title: Tax Manager Job Location: Remote Job Salary: $125k-$150k (DOE) Requirements: 5+ Years of Public Accounting Tax Experience Tax Manager Position Overview The Tax Manager will oversee the organization's tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to tax planning and strategy, aiming to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Manage and review the preparation of federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and partnership returns. • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. • Develop tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency for the organization's operations. • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff and accountants in tax-related matters. • Conduct research on various tax issues and provide advise on tax implications of business decisions. • Prepare and review tax work papers and support documentation for audits. • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary. • Provide consultation on tax implications for real estate transactions and investments. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting. • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. • Proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and tax preparation software. • Experience in tax accounting for various business structures, including C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to non-tax professionals.
