Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented System / Business Analyst to support procurement and financial operations within a technology-driven environment. The role involves managing procurement processes, monitoring contract renewals, and providing financial and operational analysis to support various business units.ResponsibilitiesCreate and process requisitions within PeopleSoft Procurement modules, ensuring proper documentation, business justification, and budget availabilityMonitor active software licensing, maintenance, support, and service agreements to ensure timely renewals and uninterrupted operationsCoordinate with IT leadership, project teams, procurement personnel, and vendors to resolve purchasing and contract-related issuesMaintain accurate contract records and support compliance with organizational procurement policies and proceduresAssist with vendor engagement activities and contract lifecycle tracking through ServiceNow Asset and Contract ManagementTrack planned versus actual expenditures across technology and cybersecurity initiativesSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, accrual, and financial reconciliation activitiesAnalyze spending trends, identify budget variances, and provide recommendations to stakeholdersGenerate recurring and ad hoc reports related to procurement activity, contract spending, and departmental budgetsDeliver timely financial, procurement, and operational metrics to managementTrack consultant and professional services engagements utilizing the Beeline Vendor Management SystemProcess requisitions and purchase orders to support consulting and contractor engagementsAssist with onboarding activities for consultants, contractors, and professional services resourcesCoordinate with hiring managers, procurement teams, and vendors to ensure timely resource onboarding and contract administrationDevelop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and analytical summariesSupport data collection, validation, and reporting activities related to technology spending and vendor performanceAssist management with financial analysis, contract reviews, and procurement planning initiativesEnsure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of procurement and financial dataSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered1–3+ years of experience supporting procurement, financial analysis, budgeting, contract administration, or business operationsExperience working with: PeopleSoft Procurement and Financial ModulesServiceNow Asset and Contract ManagementBeeline Vendor Management SystemBasic understanding of IT hardware, software, licensing, and technology asset managementStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads accurately and independentlyStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including: XLOOKUPPivot TablesPower QueryComplex formulas and financial modelingWorking knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data extraction and analysisExperience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using: Power BITableauLookerExperience supporting technology budgeting, forecasting, and spend management initiativesUnderstanding of CapEx and OpEx budgeting conceptsFamiliarity with cloud consumption and billing models including: AWSMicrosoft AzureGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with SaaS subscription management, software licensing, and vendor cost optimizationExperience performing variance analysis and financial forecastingAbility to track actual expenditures against approved budgetsExperience identifying budget risks, spending anomalies, and cost-saving opportunitiesAbility to convert complex financial and procurement data into clear business insightsProven ability to work effectively with IT, Finance, Procurement, HR, and external vendorsStrong focus on accuracy when reviewing invoices, contracts, budget reports, and procurement documentationAbility to thrive in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and evolving business needsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all organizational levelsBenefitsCompetitive Consultant hourly rate range based on experience and education of approximately $45 to $55 an hourCompany OverviewWelcome to Next Generation, a place for children to grow, learn, and play.
