[Remote] Substation Project Manager

Insight Global is seeking a Substation Project Manager to oversee high-voltage substation projects from development through construction and commissioning. The role involves providing technical oversight, coordinating with teams and partners, and ensuring project delivery is safe, timely, and within budget.ResponsibilitiesManage substation projects from development through construction and commissioningPartner with project management and development teams to define engineering scope and requirementsProvide technical oversight and due diligence for external Engineers of Record (EORs)Ensure compliance with interconnection agreements, project specifications, and industry standards (IEEE, NESC, ASCE)Source and manage engineering consultants, including developing scopes, securing bids, and awarding contractsCoordinate with stakeholders to secure permits, sites, and required project dataSupport sourcing of geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction servicesCollaborate with estimating teams on scope development and cost assumptionsManage long-lead materials to mitigate cost and schedule risksReview interconnection studies and maintain communication with transmission owners and ISOsSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering preferred7+ years of experience in substation design and high-voltage projectsStrong understanding of substation engineering standards and practicesExperience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across project lifecyclesProject Engineering and/or Project Management experiencePMP and/or P.E. certificationExperience working in fast-paced, execution-focused environmentsCompany OverviewInsight Global provides top talent and staffing solutions that help job seekers find careers in healthcare, finance, IT, and government.
