[Remote] Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager will manage relationships with key sellers in the Food and Beverage vertical, focusing on account growth and providing tailored solutions to meet complex business needs.ResponsibilitiesManage a book of 50 Strategic Food & Beverage Sellers in the San Francisco area and across the West CoastGrow account-based revenue via use-case expansion opportunities, cross-sell opportunities, and customized seller onboarding experiencesServe as the voice of the upmarket seller with Product TeamsAct as a consultant and partner to high value restaurant sellers to accomplish their goalsIdentify opportunities for technical Square solutions to address existing customer needs; project manage the execution of these technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teamsPartner with Strategic Account Executives on high-growth dealsNegotiate pricing for use-case expansion and retention of your sellersProvide white glove client service and troubleshooting to ensure resolution of seller issuesInform operations and program design for this segment at scaleConduct quarterly business reviews with various stakeholdersSkills5+ years of relevant Account Management experienceExperience Managing, retaining and growing a book of businessConsistent over-performance on key sales or customer success metricsRemarkable discovery skills with customers based in genuine curiosity about their businessA technical solutioning framework, including the ability to conduct requirements gatheringProven experience managing multiple projects internally with engineering, product and finance teamsContract and/or pricing negotiations experience with external senior stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCreative and strategic problem solving capabilities, resolving issues and tackling opportunities with no playbookRestaurant experience and/or F&B Technology experienceBenefitsRemote workMedical insuranceFlexible time offRetirement savings plansModern family planningCompany OverviewSince we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square.
