In this role, you will lead forensic DNA validation and Rapid DNA enablement projects, collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and effective project delivery.ResponsibilitiesLead forensic DNA validation and Rapid enablement projects from initiation through completion, delivering projects on time and exceeding customer expectationsDefine project scope, timelines, and milestones across multiple concurrent projectsCoordinate with regional field teams and cross-functional partners (applications, IT, sales, and external vendors) to drive executionSupport workflow design, system integration, and end-to-end verification for Rapid implementations in customer environmentsOwn validation deliverables, including data analysis and report writing, aligned to forensic standardsCommunicate clearly with customers and stakeholders to align expectations and maintain project momentumContribute to proposals, pricing recommendations, and risk identification during pre-sales activitiesResolve technical and program challenges using structured problem-solving, applying lessons learned to prevent future issuesIdentify and implement improvements that increase efficiency and consistency across projectsBuild strong working relationships across the global HPS team and broader HID organization, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environmentProactively identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs, and influence stakeholders to drive timely, aligned decisionsSkillsAbility to interpret and apply forensic DNA data (quantification, STR, and Rapid DNA) to project deliverablesClear communication skills and ability to build alignment across teamsExperience managing multiple projects and delivering results on timeCustomer-focused approach to understanding needs and delivering solutionsAbility to navigate complex, cross-functional environments and independently drive progress and decisionsHighly organized, proactive, and continuously focused on improving processesB.S. or M.S. in molecular biology, chemistry, or a related discipline5+ years of experience in a forensic DNA laboratory or similar technical environment3+ years of experience managing technical or scientific projectsFamiliarity with forensic DNA workflows, validation requirements, and data interpretationExperience supporting forensic DNA customers through professional services or similar rolesPMP certification or formal project management trainingExperience with Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar toolsFamiliarity with Microsoft Power Platform toolsExperience supporting Rapid DNA or complex workflow implementationsBenefitsVariable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policyA choice of national medical and dental plans, and a national vision plan, including health incentive programsEmployee assistance and family support programs, including commuter benefits and tuition reimbursementAt least 120 hours paid time off (PTO), 10 paid holidays annually, paid parental leave (3 weeks for bonding and 8 weeks for caregiver leave), accident and life insurance, and short- and long-term disability in accordance with company policyRetirement and savings programs, such as our competitive 401(k) U.S. retirement savings planEmployees’ Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) offers eligible colleagues the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discountCompany OverviewThermo Fisher Scientific is a biotechnology and laboratory equipment company that provides a wide range of scientific products and services.
