[Remote] Sr Software Engineer - Front End

They are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - Front End to drive the development of high-quality scalable front-end UI/UX features, contribute to architectural design decisions, and ensure the overall health of the application platform.ResponsibilitiesDrive delivery of the entire application development lifecycle of product features, including coding, debugging, architecture strategy, and product improvementsLead code/design reviews to ensure smooth project execution and accurate planningEnsure proper level of testing coverage across features and functions with a test first mindsetCollaborates across engineering, product, and design to gather and address technical and design requirementsLiaise with developers, designers, and product managers to identify new areas for improving product featuresMindset of learning and curiosity, including staying up to date with new technologies to constantly innovate our front-end platformBuild reusable code and libraries for future useProvide documentation, coaching, training, and support to internal teams where neededEnhance development tools and test coverage to improve the overall efficiency of our front-end platformAccountable for overall application health and monitoring of our platform including escalating to proactively address customer facing issuesOwn, troubleshoot, and drive client issues to resolution, including new and existing featuresParticipate in on-call rotation as part of a defined support structureConduct interviews with potential candidatesOptimize user experiences by considering performance, accessibility, and responsiveness in the development processSkillsAt least 5 years of experience in software development or a related fieldStrong programming skills in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript), with experience as a front-end developerStrong programming skills in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)In-depth understanding of the entire front-end feature development process (design, development, deployment, maintenance, and strategy)Experience working with CI/CD frameworksExperience with front-end A-B testing, test-driven development, and/or automationCollaborative problem solving attitude and willing to take a variety of approachesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience providing technical inputAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, design and customers to build and maintain quality product featuresAnalytical and time management skills, with the ability to deliver value independentlyAbility to participate in on-call rotationMaster's degree in engineering, technology or related fieldExperience building products in micro frontend frameworksExperience analyzing metrics for micro frontend frameworksExperience working on a product with dynamic configuration and/or layout capabilitiesExperience migrating from one JavaScript framework to anotherExperience migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3Experience with AWS and/or AzureExperience with GitlabBenefitsRemote-first environmentUnlimited paid time off401(k) with employer matchCompany OverviewAlkami Technology provides cloud-based digital banking solutions for credit unions and banks.
