They are seeking a Sr. Recruiting Manager for Engineering and Data to own the full technical recruiting vertical, manage a Senior Recruiter, and drive hiring strategies while enhancing the recruiting process with AI tools.ResponsibilitiesOwn all Engineering and Data recruiting end-to-end: intake through close, across a portfolio of technical roles at all levelsDirectly manage and develop a Senior Recruiter while maintaining your own requisition load as a player-coachBuild and execute talent strategies for Engineering and Data, including long-term pipeline development for hard-to-fill and senior rolesServe as the primary recruiting partner to Engineering and Data leadership — owning relationships, driving alignment, and holding hiring teams accountable to process and quality standardsUse funnel data and hiring outcome metrics to diagnose recruiting challenges, identify root causes, and drive process improvements independentlyContribute to Thumbtack’s AI-native recruiting agenda — identifying where AI tooling can improve how we source, screen, and evaluate technical talentSkills8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience recruiting for Engineering and/or Data organizations2+ years of experience leading recruiters, including performance management, coaching, workload planning, and professional developmentDemonstrated success building trusted partnerships with senior business leaders and influencing hiring decisions through data and market insightsStrong expertise in structured interviewing, selection methodologies and recruiting process designExperience leading complex offer negotiations and advising stakeholders on talent market dynamics, hiring strategy, and close plansProven ability to use recruiting analytics and funnel metrics to identify opportunities, diagnose challenges, and drive measurable improvementsA practiced, hands-on relationship with AI tools in your recruiting workflow and a point of view on where AI creates real leverageCompany OverviewThumbtack is a home services website connecting users with local service providers.
